| The first campaign in L4D takes place in Fairfield two weeks after the first infection. The Survivors focus on moving to Mercy Hospital for an evactuation by a News Chopper 5 Helicopter.

| Beginning shortlt after No Mercy, the Survivors must traverse Fairfield's extensive industrial area to get to a truck depot.

| The Survivors finally made it to where Riverside lies. They must get to a boat house where they will be rescued by a civilian fishing boat.

| The Survivors make their way through a metropolitian area to get to an abandoned airport. There, they see a C-130 plane that has run out of fuel and needs refueling.

| The Survivors follow railroad tracks to an old farm house. With no one in sight, they call via radio to the military and must hold out until the army arrives.

| The Survivors arrive in a shipyard and must battle their way through constant hoardes. Their plan to raise the bridge goes awry when one of the generators malfunction and one survivor must sacrifice themself for the sake of the others.

| The first campaign in Left 4 Dead 2, the second group of Survivors miss the last evacuationon top of The Vannah Hotel, and fight their way to the next known evacuation center in Liberty Mall.

| After escaping the mall in Dead Center, the Survivors come across a raised bridge. There they meet the ramaining three Survivors from Left 4 Dead.

| The Survivors find an abandoned freeway blocked by abandoned cars and must leave their vehicle and travel by foot to Whispering Oaks Amusement Park. They see a helicopter circling above and make their way to the park's stadium, their only way to signal the pilot for help.

| After having to kill the helicopter pilot due to the Infection, the Survivors find themselves in the Mississippi bayou. They must trek through the swamp to an abandoned plantation house where they must hold off rentless hoardes until a skipper name Virgil can arrive to rescue them.

| After learning that the boat doesn't have enough fuel to reach New Orleans, the Survivors and Virgil stop in Ducatel, Mississippi. The Survivors make their way through a mill town, a Witch-infested sugar mill and pouring rain to get their much needed fuel.

| The Survivors arrive in New Orleans to find the citt overrun by the Infected. They come across a partially collasped bridge in the finale and make their way through hoardes of zombies to the millitary helicopter on the other side.
